Over the past four years, the roller derby revival has taken the media and
country by storm! Currently, there are over 30 all-female (skater owned and
operated) leagues throughout the country. Roller derby has been featured in
Newsweek, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Reader's
Digest, CNN's Now with Paula Zahn, local news stations 13 and 7, Beach TV
and the News Herald front page.
Today's leagues have updated the crowd-pleasing aggressive sport with an
edgier attitude and the addition of modern touches, such as tattooed
members, sassy uniforms and cheeky penalties.
Panama City Roller Derby strives for fierce competition with just the right mix
of sport and spectacle. Our games are not staged, the outcomes are not
fixed and all the falls and spills are the real deal!
